I disagree granted I would've preferred that they would've kept the Zyu2 going on longer so that all of the footage would've been exhausted but any additional footage would've cost too much since remember that the monsters actually had cost about $20k.

it would have been cool to have season 2 be closer to season 1, in terms of the footage.

I think things should have continued the way they did until Zeo. Then they could have used Oh2 footage to do Zeo Season 2 instead of Turbo.

If they kept doing additional footage every year... It would have no longer been cost effective. Plus Zoe is a toy commercial and needs new toys to sell every year. Making new specs that weren't in the regular Sentai would have gotten very expensive.

Saban would have been too cheap for any of this anywAy. I was Surprised they did the extra footage that they did.

All the footage splices from different sources were part of MMPR's charm. As much as people like season 1 , that approach wouldn't have worked forever without the changes we got in season 2 and 3 .

I think MMPR using so much footage was nice but if wouldn't have worked forever or been cost effective.

It was just a way to get more footage so they could do more episodes right away. Thats how popular the show was. It's just too bad they couldn't do more footage for season 2's first half. So Tommy had more to do.

It did help to make the end of season 1 and 2 unique.
