Why did they bother replacing Kim?

I don't think its fair to say someone isn't a real fan. Especially if its just because they disagree with you. There are many good seasons after MMPR.

While it could have worked to have Kim just lose her powers (and not have Kat become a Ranger). I am glad they didn't do that. Since Kat is one of my favorite characters and it was cool seeing her develop into a strong Ranger.

At the time I thought Trini was going to come back and replace Kim. But I know now why that didn't happen. With the walk out and everything.

Saban just decided he still wanted a Pink Rangee and created the character of Kat.

I don't know why you guys don't want to give Saban his due. He is such a creative genius and is just an amazing public figure.

I would think Saban owes a lot of his success with Power Rangers to Jonathon Tzachor. Who was the real mastermind behind Power Rangers. Even though he didn't have total control back then,I know he had to have a huge hand in the creation of Katherine Hilliard and her role on the show.

I agree about Jonathon. He was the one that saw wisdom in adapting Japanaese Sentai closely. Thankfully, Saban eventually let him do this.

because he didn't do anything other than getting the rights and writing the checks. He has no other "dues" as you say to be given. It was a great idea for what he did.

not quite. It would've been Chip, Doug and Jackie who were also responsible.

even though it wasn't up to Saban since he wasn't a fan of what Tzachor was doing since he was needlessly wasting his company's money. Why do you think Tzachor got fired?

Tzachor does deserve some credit for his time on the show. He was a showrunner for a number of years. Plus he contribute a lot from a directorial stand point.But the idea of PR copying Sentai so heavily had to go. PR is better off in Lynn's hands right now.
