How did Tommy Become Green Ranger for LB

The Sword of Light was a ruse. It was just an excuse to put the departing Rangers in danger. If they were killed in action, they would be less of a liability in Zordon's eyes. Zordon was an evil genius.

He also put Tommy in Danger when he recharged his powers. He would have done so again if it didn't put himself in danger!
