They do if they want them to focus on what they wanted then to focus on. By calming then down he got them to focus on the mission. Zordon had no problem letting Alpha risk death when the Command Center exploded.

Its also worth noting how he likely demoted Jason for his anger there. Which led to him booting Jason along with Zack and Trini. He just used his proxys to get them assigned to the peace conference. For whatever reason Zack and Trini were deemed inferior to be Rangers anymore as well.

I disagree and Alpha was not risking death since it was clever editing to show what they didn't want us to see which was them sneaking away. They both knew about the Power Chamber so in no way was either of them ever at any risk.

That's a good point that he demoted Jason likely for having an issue with controlling his anger in Missing Green that's a good in-show reason for why he was demoted once Tommy became the White Ranger however he had nothing to do with booting Zack, Trini or Jason off of the team they were chosen to be reps at the Peace Conference in Switzerland so Zordon had no choice but to find new members in Adam, Aisha and Rocky. I do admit that Zack wasn't a very good Ranger when you compare him to a lot of the others but I disagree in regards to Trini.

Zordon was looking to create a Ranger team that followed orders unquestionably. Jason , Zack, and Trini were considered free thinkers. So Zordon had them booted like Revenge said.

Why didn't Zordon just bring the Rangers to the Power Chamber right away?

Angel Grove was just a fictional coloney either way.
