It was bad dude, didn't even fit the rest of the season. The slave plot was pretty scary. But it can't save the arch.

I liked it to. It was kinda fun. Plus they did everything else with Trakeena besides the finalie arch. Captian Mutiny wasn't bad as a side villian. It was a miniseries within the series like the Physco and Alien Ranger archs.

I agree that the naming was weird but it's possible that it was a reference to where their powers originated since some fans like to believe that Mirinoi was originally in the Lost Galaxy but somehow crossed over to our galaxy possibly as a result of the Galaxy Book spell that Deviot had read... it could've been a side effect.

I agree that Captain Mutiny just didn't stack up to Trakeena, Scorpius, Treacheron or Deviot. I didn't think all of the episodes that took place in the Lost Galaxy were boring but some of them were.
I'm sure it was just there as an excuse to use a bit more Sentai footage and as a way to get rid of Trakeena, Villamax, Kegler and Stingwingers for the time being since Trakeena and Stingwingers were American creations and while both Villamax and Kegler originated in Sentai all of their footage was reshot.

exactly but I prefer to look at it as the second half of the Galaxy season instead of calling it Season 2 despite how Fox Kids had called it back then.
Also because of all of that happening they were needing to reshoot a lot of scenes. Scorpius and Trakeena were both original creations for example same with the Stingwingers. The Space/Galaxy teamup was all original footage minus stock shots of the Astro Megazord forming and cockpit scenes for both Megazords.

I didn't particluarly care for it. It was pretty boring and was basicly filler until the finalie. It just felt like an unwelcome detour.

Fox Kids was never going to allow a human character to be permanently killed off. They got lucky with Andros killing Zordon since technically he wasn't a human at that point in time he was just basically energy but actual human characters they won't be killed off for good. Bad communication is how MMPR Productions got around not needing to purify Viktor Adler.

It is interesting they let them get away with the fake death. It took several episodes before it was even implied Mike was still alive. Not counting the fake out with the monsters posing as him. They also let Alex "die" in an even more gruesome way.

I love how Amit was able to get away with killing Adler by fooling the censors at Fox Kids and ABC kids.

well they don't care about "fake deaths" if the character is coming back to life much like what happened with Kendrix and Alex.

it wasn't a case of him fooling anyone it was just a case of ABC censors not being in full communication with their Bosses so they had no idea that Master Org was originally a human

It does seem odd that they would allow fake deaths. Wouldn't it be just as traumatic since the person seems to really die. And there is no guarantee the same kids are still watching when they come back.
