According to Collider, the new Power Rangers will be called Saban's Power Rangers. More notably is that the team is rumored to be brand new operating the iconic Zords. Saban and director Dean Isrealite are currently working on the script.

It seems Shuki Levy is also invovled in the scripting process of the new movies . But it could just be that he is getting a credit due to being a co_creator of the series.

The script is aparently being tweaked. Originally the characters had the previous names of the MMPR Rangers. But their character names have been changed with the rewrites. So they are presumably going to be a brand new team with the classic powers.

Callum Oliver – The Red Ranger/Tyrannosaurus
Priya Patel – The Pink Ranger/Pterodactyl
Brian Olson – The Blue Ranger/Triceratops
Oscar Fernandez – The Black Ranger/Mastodon
Teyana Jones – The Yellow Ranger/Sabre-tooth Tiger
