there was no choice she already knew who the Rangers were, knew what was going on and took the chance of "pretending" to be Astronema to get their Saber back not to mention Kendrix had to choose her replacement otherwise the Saber wouldn't have recognized her from then on.
The Rangers would've been killed if she wasn't there.
