I want to address something, that I don't think has ever been covered.
Alex apparently DIED, he was seen to be slain and destroyed, literally slain. The general conscious was that he was completely gone, enough to motivate revenge on said death, enough to spark a mission.
And we know that the Time Force rangers going back in time, and doing stuff, changed events, that radically altered the future.
What do we see... Alex is alive.
Think about that for a second.
