Why does Dayu work for Xandred if Serrator was the one that made the deal with her?

Serrator was the one that cursed Dayu Xandred had nothing to do with it so Xandred did not make her but why she opted to serve him is a good question.
I think it's because Serrator wasn't interested in being involved with the struggle against the Samurai Rangers yet so he sent her to Xandred.

She probably either worked her way up to Xandred's main crew or was sold to him. She probably was dejected and just gave in to being a nighlok.

She probably earn brownie points with Xandred since she could sooth him with her musical instrument whenever he was sick.

Yeah , Xandred misses the music the most when he kicks her out.

I always thought it was wierd that Serrator didn't keep Dayu around from the beginning.
