Glad you made this thread X. Been wanting to say this....The Green Ranger mid-credits scene was just awesome! I can't wait for Power Rangers 2!

That was another thing that pissed me off.

But the big disgrace was Jason's prank and Kim's revenge video against her rival. Just can't believe they would even imply this type of thing in Power Rangers. It soils the good name of MMPR.

I didn't think I was going to like the new Trini as much as the old. But she really won me over in her own way. Her struggles are very relatable. And I like that her being gay doesn't define her whole character. Its just part of who she is and not treated like its a big deal.

My biggest pet peeves where with the sub plot about Zordon having alterior motives for wanting them to become Rangers so the morphing grid would bring him back to life.

And it seemed like they were trying so hard to make Rita scary which I wouldn't care about so much if they made her a little silly or kept Squatt and Baboo

I also thought they could have replaced Goldar with Mutitis or Cyclopsis and it wouldn't hurt anything or at least kept Goldar as a flying monkey, and made what they did use as his armor

I also wish they could have had it where the Rangers fight Rita halfway through, and morph but because they aren't a team yet they get their asses kicked.

I think it made Zordon more three dimensional and was understandable..Being stuck in the Morphing Grid had to be scary for him. Plus he had to be frustrated he couldn't make a difference. The fact he sacrifices the chance to be whole again to save Billy actually males him very heroic and gives him his own character arch.

Zordon was a real jerk in this movie..You're right Zabitan, he only wanted to use the Ranger s so he could live again.

I don't like the revenge porn crap. The bull scene is just stupid. But at least they cut the Jason and Kim romance plot out of the movie. I also thought Zordon wasn't very likeable. The rest of the movie was meh..I have to admit the tease for Tommy had me excited. Maybe the sequel will be better.

Wow I saw the movie. Its been years since I watched Power Rangers and I was amazed it was still around when I found this place. But man...Did that movie Rock! It really put Power Rangers on the level of the current superhero franchises.

We're Zordon and Rita former Rangers on the show?

You even got a Die Hard reference from Billy.

For all accounts Zordon and Rita were never Rangers on the show.

I really didn't like the new Kimberly. She was a real awful person for spending that revealing picture of her friend. I am not surprised her former friends were mad at her. She just isn't as good as the real Kim.

My big problem with the movie was the fact it took them most of the film to learn how to morph. So most of the morphed action was at the end of the film. The story and the characterization was very good.

But the lack of Power Rangers formula brought things down. The entire third act of the film comes off like they suddenly remembered this was a Power Rangers Movie and had to rush all the morphed battles in.

We don't even get much time with the Rangers fighting in costume before they are in the zords. The lack of an actual Megazord Sequence also hurt. But the big thing is that the suits and zords were so poorly designed as was Goldar. The Krispy Kreme stuff also got silly.

Banks was good as Rita but we didn't get enough of her. I also feel the whole backstory of having her be a former Green Ranger turned bad is the cheap way out. But Banks performance made up for that.

All in all the movie was still a lot better than I thought it was. It was a good movie thar ironically suffered because of the way they handled "the Power Rangers Stuff". So in that sense it isn't a very good Power Rangers Movie. Which is interesting with it being a good movie.

Her backstory was too confusing and kinda messed up. She goes from feeling like the victim to having a guilty conscious. Yet we are supposed to feel sorry for her and clap when her former friends have misfortune in the climax. Her friends have a reason to be mad at her.

I saw it but found the movie to be no good. I was never a fan of MMPR or any other season besides my namesake. So the movie was unlikely to thrill me anyway. I think they made a big mistake by not doing a Ninja Storm Film. It would have done much better since this is the season people think about when they think about Power Rangers. MMPR may have had its time ( for reasons I don't understand) but it's time has long passed. I view the first ten years as 10 practice years that resulted in them finally getting it right with Ninja Storm. Too bad the dropped the ball afterwards..

I'm not surprised you didn't like it since you seem to only like Ninja Storm. But the idea that they were going do a Ninja Storm Movie first is not realistic..Or even as a sequel. Its near the bottom of the list when it comes to spin off seasons. Its highly unlikely there will ever be a Ninja Storm Movie. Or even another series for that matter. We may see some of the Rangers return in anniversary team ups or something similar. But nothing beyond that.

I love how they gave Rita and Zordon a real backstory and uped the stakes. They even gave a good reason for Rita to attack Angel Grove. Its so much better than the show. Which is actually hard to go back in watch honestly.

Kids show doesn't mean bad. Don't underestimate the intelligence of children. Power Rangers is always awkward when it is at its best but saying it has to be bad because its a kids show isn't true. And is really letting them off way too easily. You can't criticize anything that way.

I know its a kids show. Its just not for me anymore. Eleven year old me would love it , I am sure. So I don't fault them for marketing to kids. Its just nice to have a movie made so 34 year old me can enjoy it for more than just nostalgia.

The movie wasn't very good. There wasn't enough action and it felt more like a breakfast club remake. Kimberly seemed like a real jerk. The only interesting Ranger was Billy. I didn't like the characterization of Rita at all.

The movie was beyond awful! it was a lame attempt to capitalize on the Power Rangers brand name. But no one working on the film had a real under standing of the franchise or really even tried to. Not just ended up being a weird breakfast club remake where the characters weren't likeable at all.

I thought the movie was good, well aside from the fact it took time to get going as they had to develop the characters, etc but it wasn't completely awful, just slow.

If they ever manage to get a sequel made i hope it is more action packed, we know the team now and obviously with the Tommy teaser at the end it gives me hope for a better overall story.

There needed to be more mmpr lime elements . It wasn't all bad though.
