Rita's Son

If I get cast on the show,I would like my character to be Rita' s son. It would make for a cool storyline.

Re: Rita's Son

it wouldn't be up to you since the Producer would've already made the character sure they might allow you a little leeway with how you act as the character but not much.

if you wanted to be on the show then you would audition like any normal person and if you get a part then you have to take whatever part they offer you otherwise you'll be seen as a selfish fan who only wants it his way or no way. The show isn't Burger King you can't have it your way.

Well I figured when I audition, I could give them my idea. i'll bring my own script.

I don't think they would create Rita's Son for a Ranger Character now. They already created Thrax.

Saban probably would have been as cheap as Disney was with Thrax.

It would be more likely to see the villians use a more current villian like Lothor.

MattEmily 02/04/18 11:25 AM

Re: Rita's Son

probably not Lothor since his suit is probably too old by now but a more recent villain yes that would be possible

I've thought about being a voice actor just so I could play a monster but that's it.

Thaat would be an interesting job.

It would have happened in Mystic Force if it was going to happen.

Its not a bad idea. But you can't just show up and improve a character backstory. I would have to be an idea the staff came up with themselves.

You don't get to choose your own character.

So this guy actually wants to act on Power Rangers? Why? Its bad enough he still watches it?

It's fine as an adult to watch it no matter what your opinion is on that but I don't know why he would want to act on the show since it wouldn't help him with anything that he wants and he wouldn't be able to just do whatever he wants to

Re: Rita's Son

Yeah, if he wanted to act on the series thats fine. The issue is he isn't bekng realistic about it at all. I wanted to play in the NBA when I was a kid. Yet didn't understand all the hard work I would have had to do nor the talent I would have needed to have.

Re: Rita's Son

[sarcasm]I'm going to get a job so that I can play the American version of Lee Keflen from Flashman or Bias from Liveman, and my name will be Dr Lord Madman aka Jack Ferguson who's a supervillain PSA Writer[/sarcasm]

Actually Toei listens to Saban more often than not.

they co-own Power Rangers so anything that Power Rangers does has to go through them and they pretty much don't care what they do as long as Power Rangers is still using their footage that's all they care about well that and getting their money so their standards aren't as high as you believe them to be.

I don't think anyone will be able to audition and just write their own characters.

Agreed. Saban Brands is a lot stricter than Disney. Disney's writers would have at least listened to his ideas.

Disney did a better job of controlling Toei.

Disney isn't used to co-owning brands. They were never comfortable with the arrangement. Which is why they tried to do the cartoon and ditch live action. Of course Toei wouldn't contractually allow it. The partnership was a bad fit from the beginning.

I can't see them introducing a human son for Rita.
