They had so many, it seemed a bit much.

The newer Sentai seasons have the tendency of having more than 5-6 Rangers. Which is a bad idea since the Megazord combinations become like some kid put some random stuff together without a plan or a thought to it. The end result is UGLY and usually, not everyone gets a focus episode.

And this is what gets tranferred to Power Rangers.

I dislike it more that tney have so many extra zords.

Indeed. They've got to sell all of those toys to have Rangers use their weapons when wearing special versions of their suits in their Megazord cockpits for no reason at all.

The changes in tech allowed Toei to do CGI Zords in Gaoranger to the present. That opened things up for more zords. I suppose more Rangers were inevitable.

I wonder what causes Toei to start with Three Rangers or Five?It seems to fluctuate for no real reason.

I don't think so. I can't imagine the budget changes from year to year that much.

I didn’t mind how many Rangers they had since even though the Sentai had a lot, Dino Charge kept it more to a minimum

Dino Charge had both Chase and Koda who were already Rangers, Tyler and Shelby became Rangers next then it was Riley. Ivan was next followed by Phillip. Albert was already a Ranger but he didn’t want it so he gave it up and Kendall later got the powers.

Dino Charge only introduced eight but Phillip was barely around.
Supercharge introduced two more but we barely even saw Aqua so even though they had ten Rangers, we really only saw like eight of them pretty regularly
