New Mature Power Rangers Series?
 

This article was from a few weeks ago. Obviously just a rumor. But the talk about the new movie matches the rumors we have been getting there. A more mature series for a streaming services does sound like an interesting idea.

The whole dark and mature movement is silly. Thats just not what Power Rangers is. Its a family friendly children's show. Being dark and mature isn't going to do the franchise any good. Whats the point of doing a new series just to be dark and mature.

They revamp the series every season. Every year starts with a new cast and storyline. What more can they do to revamp? The super dark and mature stuff isn't going to help at all.

I figured we should take it with a grain of salt. Its real easy for rumors and speculation to be presented as fact on the net. Especially with a website designed to get clicks. There have been rumors like this in the past that turned out to be nothing. But it makes for an interesting discussion.

I don't know I think Hasbro has done a great job with Beast Morphers. Just give it a few more years to see how successful the brand is.

As for mature pr? If Hasbro was willing to fit the bill , a show aimed at teenagers or twenty somethings would be nice. I would have told you it was impossible years ago. But wih streaming sites paying big money for content, it isn't quite so far fetched. This could also make a movie more sellable in the long term. If said series is successful anyway.

I just want to know what the obsession with dark and gritty stuff.

It's like I like shows like Rick, and Morty, and movies like Deadpool, and Guardians of the Galaxy so Power Rangers should have weird for the sake of weird humor, and the Rangers should be dumb assholes who go on weird adventures, and do stupid shit.
