Banner Contest: March 2006
 

Hey all u talented banner makers u! I have an announcement. Thanks to the fabulous idea from Ms. Melanie (kira_ford5), we will be starting a banner contest.

Every month, we will have a benner contest for all our talented artists. It will start on the 1st of the month and end on the announced day of the month. We will have a theme each month for our banners to follow and rules to go by. The winning banner will be put in an official thread for just the winners and given major KUDOS by the peoples.

1.) Banners should be about 500 x 200

2.) You must use your original work, stuff done by YOU and no one else.

3.) Stick with the theme

4.) Make sure your entries are in by the deadlines or you will have to wait til next time.

5.) We, the people of the forums get to vote for our favorites and the winner will be put in an official thread.

6.) HAVE FUN!!!! :D BE CREATIVE!!!! :D ENJOY!!! :D

Any questions or suggestions, post them here.

We start the contest today.

Our first theme will be Emma Lahana, since this is her forums.

So, let's get the entries in ASAP. This contest will last until April (or until people stop sending stuff in.)

Yeah. It can say anything as long as the focus of your banner is Emma. It doesn't matter the wording.

I don't know why I can't see it Kari. My computer must be weird :P

Keep it up you talented artists. I am thinking about making the deadline March 31st (4:00 PM).

As an FYI, you can have up to 3 entries, in case you want to change your other one, put up a better one, any other reason, etc. Just stick to the theme.

Okay, I really don't want to wait to the last day of March anymore, so we will start voting this March 11 (for me, that's Saturday) and then, we will End voting, on March 31st. I know the thread has been a bit dead, but the art is fab-u-lous! So, get last minute entries in all you artistic folks, and start picking your faves!

I was wondering, does the winner pick the new theme for the contest? I just thought that would be an idea, I don't care what happens, just thought it would make it interesting :)

Well, I think we were going to plan on having the next theme be Kirmmoy, but having the winner pick a new theme would be a great idea. I'll think about it.

Maybe it should be a monthly thing...with different topics every month.

Exactly. It is a monthly event. I will do my best to keep ontop of this, but I may forget at times.

I think this next theme will be Kirommy, but the round after that, we will have the winners start choosing the new theme.
