Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
What do you think about this idea? Do you think having him be a new character made more sense or do you think they should've done something else that made a bit more sense

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I think it's weird that they revealed that he was a normal human once but then killed him off like any other general.
Maybe if they had something where Tommy reached out to him, and he got his soul back, and made some heroic sacrifice I would like it. |
Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I would have perfered it of he was a character we already knew

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
Maybe a injured Go!dar who was turned into Zeltrax by Mes?

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
It just seemed so random since Terrance Smith was never part of the shpw before and was suddenly Tommy's arch enemy. Plus Zeltrax always got destroyed and kept returning.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
Zeltrax should have been Jason. As their rivalry would have culminated in the Hexagon War. Which could have left Jason seriously hurt. Mesogog could have then rebuilt him into Zeltrax.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
No way! Hexagon jiwwt didn't happen. And I can't see Jason ever turning against Tommy or vice versa.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
If it was Jason, he would have been brainwashed until Tommy saved him. Perhaps he could have become Trassic Ranger afterwards.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I think the idea works since they show us the backstory. And its been so many years their was plenty of time for Tommy to get a new arch enemy.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I found it hard to care about Terrance Smith. But it would have been hard to get yet another former Ranger to go with Tommy. And the villian development was interesting. With Zeltrax being totally loyal than going off on his own. I do think his defeat was lacking in the senss we saw him come back so many times from defeat. So why couldn't he come back again?

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
Zeltrax was a fine henchman but he just wasn't strong enough to be an adversary for Tommy. His Terrence Smith backstory did nothing for the rivalry.
|
Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
His human backstory is just too generic and uninteresting. Zeltrax was ok in the present.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
Its because they wanted to do something to make Tommy seem important and had to give him an arch rival. But since he just existed for Tommy's benefit, his backstory was inferior. Zeltrax should have just been a scientist that made a mistake who was loyal to Mesogog for saving him. But eventually broke away. The needless Tommy hate wasn't needed. And really no one cares about Terrance Smith anyway.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I thought it was cool that Kira got to help Doctor O take our Zeltrax.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I think is storyline was too dark. Thats probably why they didn't go too far into his backstory with Tommy.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I like the Sentai Storyline with the evil suit and different people being trapped in it.

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
Its another example of Super Sentai having a better storyline than American Sentai. Abaranger was head and shoulders above DinoThunder.

Agreed they did a good job with the new villains

Re: Zeltrax as Smitty - what do you think?
I would have like to have seen the White Ranger be under the control of the Evorian. I wouldn't change the American Villains.
