An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
If Sentai ends in a few years (which is very unlikely anyways) while Power Rangers is still going on before it eventually end as well, Hasbro would catch up and end Power Rangers then....unless they adapt Bioman to Jetman after catching up (Gorenger to Dynaman would be too old to adapt) and then end Power Rangers for good.
Despite the low rangers and low toy sales in Super Sentai, Toei can have Super Sentai keep gong as long as they want to as there is so many theme ideas that has yet to be used. It'll have to end eventually as next year, we'll have the 45th sentai series and it would be the 46th year its been on air. Many years ago, I used to guess how many more years Super Sentai would keep on going....I was thinking that maybe it could end after the 50th sentai series (anniversary series) and after 51 years on air but you never know...it could get to 55 or up to 60 but I doubt it would get to 65 and past that. |
Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
If Sentai ended they would have no source footage, so that would be the end or the series. Unless they could pay Toei just to suit toku footage.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
Hasbro would expand their production team and do all original footage.

It would he the biggest obstacle PR has ever had.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I think Super Sentai will find a way to continue. If worst comes to worse, they could just shoot less episodes.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
They would finally bring back MMPR.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
It would be a bummer. If it were Saban or Disney I would say they would be in trouble. But Hasbro seems to shoot more original footage. Of course going 100 percent new footage would be an insane leap. One good thing would be that the skipped Sentai would give them some extra years.
I don't think they would go back and adapt the older Sentais from before Zyuranger. |

They would have no way to get action footage. Not enough for a whole season.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I don't know a lot about Sentai...But its important for PR's survival.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I can't see them doing all the Zord footage themselves.
|
Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I think Hasbro would send more money Sentai's way to keep them going. It would benefit PR since they would still get the footage they need.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I am not sure if this is true. But I once heard Disney sent a lot of money Sentai's way, which basically funded Sentai. If this is true I would assume it continued with Saban Brands and Hasbro. But I can't be sure.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
I don't know, doing all original footage would be tough.

Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
Then PR would be in big trouble unless they could find another toku to adapt.
|
Re: An open discussion: If Sentai ended... the future of PR?
Power Rangers would be in trouble.
